We offer optional LED lighting on a number of our hi-fi cabinets and record stands. It’s designed to add a soft, warm glow to your setup — highlighting your equipment and vinyl collection without feeling like a strip of bright LEDs stuck onto the furniture.

The aim isn’t to light the whole room. Instead, the lighting adds a subtle atmosphere around your system, particularly nice during evening listening sessions when the main lights are off.

Integrated into the furniture

The lighting is built directly into the cabinet rather than added afterwards.

Each LED strip is recessed into the wood, so it sits flush with the surface of the cabinet. The strips themselves are only around 3mm deep, which means they’re barely noticeable when the lights are switched off.

When illuminated, the light gently washes across the shelves and record compartments, bringing a bit more depth and warmth to the furniture.

A cleaner alternative to standard LED strip lighting

We use professional-grade LED neon flex lighting rather than the typical exposed LED strips.

This gives a continuous, even line of light, without the individual LED dots you often see with cheaper lighting.

The result is softer and more architectural — something that feels like part of the design of the cabinet rather than an accessory.

The lighting components are also covered by a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Mains Powered

The lighting runs from a standard 240V mains power supply, so there are no batteries to charge or replace.

The unit simply plugs into a wall outlet behind the cabinet and is then controlled wirelessly via the remote or app.

Simple wireless control

Each lighting system comes with a wireless remote that lets you quickly adjust brightness or switch between saved lighting levels.

The system uses 2.4GHz RF control and can also be connected to Wi-Fi, allowing control through a mobile app or compatible voice assistants.

Each piece is built to order in our Bristol workshop, with the lighting installed as part of the build.
